Running buddys were Scott Dangerfield and Larry Lander. Met Sheila McIntosh from Montrose and got engaged just before leaving in Jan, 1970. After "B" school at Ft. Devens and 14 months on Guam went back to Scotland for wedding. Made several trips back over the years--last in 1995. Sheila and I are no longer married but I still stay in touch with the McIntosh's. Great country & people. |

I do have several photos from those days. People and landscape. The Blue Door, the Shaking Bridge, Cairn O'Mount, etc. Man, those were the days! Edzell will always have a very special place in my heart. Left in July of 1961 to go to Karamursel Turkey. Came back in 63(?) TAD to help with a technical problem at the site. Was hoping that it would turn into a PCS but no such luck. I believe that there were less than 50 sailors on board when I transferred. Sure wish I could see it again. |

My daughter Adrianne was born in Forfar maternity hospital in 1980. She is now a soph at Purdue in the Rx program. My other daughter Sara was born in 1984 and is a soph in high school. I teach 8th grade and am in the process of finishing my masters degree. I have been looking for Tim & Lynn White and Mark Franklin. Still in touch with Earl & Isabel Smith, Al Nagle, Steve Fry, Danny Devlin, Jim Zymslo and others. I hope the reunion comes off as a success. |

There is a picture floating around somewhere of me attending a Christmas party wearing a kilt and some joker (Ike Eisenhauer) lifted my kilt and showed that "real" men do in fact wear underwear under their kilts. As a matter of fact, they were boxers covered with red hearts.............. |

Edzell was the beginning of our whirlwind life together. We have two sons, Kyle (12) and Zachary (8). We've been to many different duty stations but Edzell will always remain our favorite. |

remember at the Wiz are LT Lentz, CPO Desilvis, Manship, McDaniel, White,
Pamilton, Montgomery, Pratt, Polk, Ahern and Barney. I also remember Claw,
Woody, Potts, Libs, Gomez, Kaiver, Brand, Duncan, and Camp. I really miss

We formed a drill team while I was there and marched in the local communities with the locals bringing us into the pubs for some "foreign policy" talks, if you know what I mean. I was saddened to hear that the station closed but apparently it was meant to be. So sad, I remember the Edzell castle, Panmure Arms hotel, the Edzell Post Office, the BLUE DOOR, gee I am waxing nostalgic now. Aye ge us a pint Jimmy!!!! |
